  Email: pcrosby@colletonprep.org

Payton Crosby is a life-long resident of Walterboro, SC. He graduated from Walterboro High School in 1974 and earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Maryville (TN) College in 1978. Mr. Crosby teaches high school science, including Biology I, Biology II, Chemistry, and Anatomy & Physiology. He will also serve as high school lead teacher for the 2017 – 2018 school year.

While the 2017 – 2018 school year is only Mr. Crosby’s fourth year as a full time employee of Colleton Prep, students having older brothers and sisters who attended CPA will certainly recognize his name. Over the previous decade, he has served as a volunteer coach on the middle school, junior varsity, and varsity football teams, including all 3 teams that won SCISA state championships. He has also coached middle school girl’s basketball and assisted in junior varsity and varsity girl’s basketball, including one team that played for the AA state championship. He has been an assistant coach for JV baseball, and even filled in as coach during a handful of tennis matches. Mr. Crosby also served as president of the Colleton Prep Booster Club for 2 years.

Mr. Crosby’s daughter, Caitlin Brownlee, is a 2011 graduate of CPA where she was first honor graduate and a member of the 2009 and 2010 SCISA AA state championship tennis teams.
