Key: CP* = college prep, H** = honors for high school credit

Courses without designation are 8th grade only

The middle school curriculum objectives are based on the national common core and South Carolina state standards in each academic discipline. The course of study in each area incorporates a variety of strategies to assure the opportunity to master academic content, concepts, and skills. The teaching-learning process is focused on the learner. Therefore assessment is both individual and group oriented and is grade, age, and development appropriate.

Sixth Grade

General Math 6
Language Arts (speaking, listening, reading, writing, includes library/research skills)
General Science 6
History 6 Ancient Civilizations

The following courses are incorporated on a rotation weekly:
PE & Health, Spanish, Computer,  Latin, Guidance, Visual Arts, Musical Arts, Leadership

Sixth grade students also have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular clubs during the middle of the day activity period, intramural and interscholastic athletics, and attend SCISA sponsored activity and athletic events.

Seventh Grade

Pre-Algebra
Language Arts (speaking, listening, reading, writing, includes library/research skills)
Life Science
Geography

The following courses are incorporated on a rotation weekly:
PE & Health, Spanish, Computer & Latin, Guidance, Visual Arts, Musical Arts, Leadership

Seventh grade students also have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular clubs during the middle of the day activity period, intramural and interscholastic athletics, and attend SCISA sponsored activity and athletic events.

Eighth Grade

Pre-Algebra or Algebra I H**
Language Arts (speaking, listening, reading, writing)
Earth Science

Guidance, Visual Arts, Musical Arts, Library/Research, Leadership
